Miguel Fernandez Morales was born in Havana City, Cuba; his parents were hard workers with an entrepreneurial spirit.

When he was 17 years old he volunteered to go to Angola, Africa, to fight against the apartheid, like more than 200 000 Cubans  who support this cause. He was there for one year and it was one of the most challenging experiences of his life.
The military training and the fact of being in a war gave Miguel a new perspective in life; not only strength his willpower but also gave him the drive to succeed in everything that he does.

Miguel was graduated with Honors in Law Studies and first in class at the Havana University, Cuba in 1998.  After working as a lawyer he decided to follow his entrepreneurial spirit, that was a big challenge because private Cuban business were not allowed in Cuba at that time.

Soon after he received a proposal from a multinational (UNILEVER)to work for them in the Marketing Department. Unilever had a joint venture with the Cuban government and was looking for someone with no former marketing training. After some interviews Miguel started to work for UNILEVER, attained an MBA in a Spainish School and received an intensive marketing training in Mexico, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Trinidad Tobago; 4 years later he was the Marketing Head of Unilever Cuba.

In 2005 Miguel wanted to offer a better future to his family and decided to immigrate to Canada. Here he wanted to work in something where he could utilize his skills in Marketing, Sales, Law and his passion to help people with honesty.

How Miguel Became a Realtor
When buying his first home in Canada Miguel had some bad experiences with Real Estate Agents, who did not act very ethically neither honestly: they were taking advantage of his family because they were newcomers and did not know anything about the Canadian Real Estate Market,  after hearing about some similar horror stories from other people he decided to be Realtor and protect his family, friends, newcomers like him,  and honest people against the non-ethical realtors and his horror stories.
Miguel Fernandez has been working in different Real Estate brokerages such as: Homelife Metropark , Century 21 Windsor and Remax 2000 . Taking with him the best of each office, learning about the brokerage where he did not want to be, noticing that big names brokerages did not make any difference in the quality of the agents since the main purpose of these offices is to hire more and more agents without selecting them or knowing about their knowledge, values and honesty. They are the Walmart of Real Estate where anybody with a real estate license can work with.

As a step forward in his professional career, Miguel partnered with other experienced realtors and founded a new Boutique Real Estate Company: Real Estate Advisors Inc.  The significance behind the name is not to be viewed as salespeople or telemarketers but, as advisors and consultants that will cater to their clients in a more personalized and unique way. At Real Estate Advisors agents are interviewed and selected, taking only realtors with high values and gives them mentorship when they are new or don’t have enough knowledge to help them to do a better job for his clients.

Miguel has created a unique system with an honest approach to give the best service to his clients. He has received several awards for his exceptional service and trajectory in Real Estate.
As part of his crusade against unethical real estate agents he is the author of the infamous report “Frauds, Lies, Cheats & Unethical Scams,” and he has been appointed as a Member of the RECO Discipline Committee and Appeals Committee. This is a Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) committee that  protect customers and another realtors from the unethical behaviour of unethical Real Estate Agents.

He is also the Author of the book: "The Warren Buffett Approach to Sell Real Estate,", He created the infamous report "Frauds, Lies, Cheats and Unethical Scams in Real Estate", CEO of the Helping Teachers  Program, a program to help Teachers to sell, buy and Invest in Real Estate.  Miguel has been called "provocative and entertaining," but also, "a committed philanthropist." He is praised for his Mission to raise/donate over $10,000 to local and Teacher-related charities each year.
